The Trump Strategy

no comment

Regardless of how you feel about Donald Trump, you have to admit that the man is a marketing machine. Who else could get away with insulting others, providing little details about policies, and not having a good idea of what is happening within  the political arena? Donald Trump has, and uPolitico believes that he will continue to do so. We believe that Chuck Todd did a good job asking some good questions on Meet the Press on August 16, 2015 from Donald Trump, but such type of questions need to continue from the press, so we can become better informed voters.

Just a week ago, we at uPolitico believed that Donald Trump did not have a chance to succeed. Although we are not at the point that we believe that he will be the Republican nominee, we do believe that he will continue to poll well, and that many people are taking a second look at Trump, as a possible candidate.

Meet the Press

We also believe that Trump has awakened the independent” voter, who are registered as a Republican or Democrat. We believe that Trump’s campaign is having an effect on Bernie Sanders’ campaign. As Sanders’ numbers improve, we cannot help to wonder if the “rebels”” within the Democratic Party are getting the message that seasoned politicians, such as Clinton, may not have anything else to contribute to our everyday politics.

We believe that Trump and Sanders are appealing to those of us who are bored of the same political BS we have endured for the last few decades. Are we about to change how we look at politicians? Should we gamble on Trump? Are Republicans willing to overlook his passed liberal agendas? Can he run the White House as Trump runs “The Apprentice”? Republican voters must understand that voting for Trump is a gamble. Again, a gamble. It does not mean we are not going to come out ahead under a Trump White House, but we must understand that things could go wrong quickly.

Does the Donald have the knowledge needed to understand international events? We are not talking about negotiating with Putin, but instead, how would have Trump handled the crisis with Ukraine? What about Georgia? Would he just ignore the problem? What if there were American citizens in the plane that was shut down over Ukraine? Those are issues that a

president is likely to encounter at one point during his/her administration.

uPolitico believes that the press needs to become more aggressive with Trump when it comes to specifics. “Ï don’t care about that”, or “that is not important to me” are not real answers. We need facts, hard facts from Trump, so we can make an educated decision. We at uPolitico do not believe that Trump is not smart enough to address these issues. We believe that Trump would have a very experienced and knowledgeable cabinet, and that he would depend on others who know the ropes to make decisions in which he has not enough knowledge. Nothing wrong with that. Ronald Regan did it, and he was successful, but Reagan was also a seasoned politician, something that Trump is not. He was strong, yet had great PR skills, something that Trump may need to work on, so he can succeed as a negotiator. After all, he would be the “head” US diplomat.

Bottom line is, Trump will continue to appeal to a large portion of the voters. However, uPolitrico believes that he needs to provide more specifics about his policies, and become less impulsive on some of his answers so we can get a better image of who, or what kind of CEO he would be to our country.
